Massachusetts State Flag Pins

The flag of Massachusetts features the state's coat of arms against a field of white (on both sides of the flag).  The Massachusetts state flag was approved in its final form in 1971 (previously a green pine tree adorned the obverse side of the flag). The coat of arms includes the state's Latin motto: "Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem" ("By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty").
